  1. Is there any program to resettle Afghan refugees? We would like to help – language, short term stay while looking for housing, transportation, friendship. My wife and I were very active with the Jewish Family Resettlement program in the 1970s.

Before covid, I had suggested an electronic bulletinboard to connect people who would like to share a dinner and get to know their neighbors of different religious and ethnic roots. Perhaps this might be a time to start up something like this. During our many years working for UC Berkeley and UCSF my wife and I hosted students from many countries and found the experience immensely enriching.
